  1. I visited the KL Bird Park this weekend, which was crawling (stalking?) with dozens of gorgeous peacocks. I love this shot, where a friend’s daughter is walking past in her bright pink Crocs. -Mary Vale

  2. The seasons here continue to allude ELUDE (erm… illude???) me. It’s the second week of February, and suddenly the trees are exploding with flowers. - Abigail

You know what? I am so brain dead today that I cannot even construct a sentence. Let’s just look at the photo and move on.

  3. Oh, poor little blog. I completely forgot about you! Here’s a photo of my favorite cafe, to make up for it! - Abigail

  4. I wanted to take a photo of the sunset and the skyscrapers, but there was too much condensation from the humidity to do the shot. I turned the AC back on afterward. -Mary Vale

  5. Sunrise over the Pacific, during my flight from Newark to Taipei, with a stop in Anchorage and a final destination of Kuala Lumpur. -Mary Vale

  6. The entrance to our cabin in Big Sur. I spent the weekend at a mushroom foray in the middle of the woods, and it was amazing. - Abigail

  7. Kelly, Liz and I hang this giant wreath every Christmas in the church in my neighborhood, with a carefully rigged contraption made of fishing wire and Kelly’s Boy Scout knotting skills. -Mary Vale

  8. Developing old rolls of film always makes me smile. This is a lighthouse in Shelter Cove, CA. David and I took our first vacation together here in March, 2008. - Abigail

  9. I’ve been torn about sharing a photo of my new ENGAGEMENT RING (!!!) - some people say it’s tacky to share, and some say it’s “annoying” not to. Ultimately, I decided that part of the joy of having a blog is documenting the big and small things that happen. So. Here’s my ring! I love it love it love it. - Abigail

  10. Christmas oranges (tangerines, really, I believe), always a stocking stuffer at my house. This year, Myke came for Christmas morning, and we each got two. -Mary Vale
